Dr. Bell is dedicated to supporting student success and recognizes the transformative
impact of community colleges. A proud San Jacinto College alumna, she earned a Certificate
of Technology in Vocational Nursing and an Associate of Arts before completing her
Ph.D. in Nursing Science at Texas Woman’s University. Prior to becoming Provost, she
served as Dean of Health and Natural Sciences, where she played a key role in launching
the college’s first baccalaureate degree in nursing and strengthening healthcare pathways
through strong industry partnerships. Her work centers on expanding student opportunities,
meeting workforce needs, and cultivating high-performing teams.

Joining San Jacinto College in 2020 as associate vice chancellor, Mrs. Hutchins has
more than 20 years of fiscal affairs experience in higher education, specifically
at community colleges. In her role, she leads several College departments, including
facilities services, contracts and purchasing, safety and risk management, budgets,
accounting and financial services, and the police department. Mrs. Hutchins holds
a master's in business administration from the University of Texas and is a Certified
Public Accountant.

Dr. Christopher Wild is an award-winning educator, leader, and trained scientist with
a proven record of advancing student success and driving regional workforce innovation.
At San Jac, he has served as a faculty member, department chair, dean, and assistant
vice chancellor. He has led initiatives ranging from founding our Undergraduate Research
Center to establishing San Jac as a national leader in biomanufacturing through the
Center for Biotechnology. He holds a doctorate in pharmacology, with a research emphasis
in medicinal chemistry, from the University of Texas Medical Branch.
