Without [a former student] seeing me as a professor, he would not have pursued a degree in biology.”
Dr. Tyler Olivier
STEM department chair
Dr. Tyler Olivier majored in biology at Louisiana State University and earned his Ph.D. in environmental and evolutionary biology from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Dr. Olivier fell in love with teaching after his first week as a teaching assistant and now supports students in higher education and service learning.
