Get Inside the Operating Room

Surgical technologists are key members of the surgical team. Students learn to prepare operating rooms, organize surgical instruments, and maintain sterile environments. They also support surgeons during procedures.

Prepare for Certification

Graduates are eligible to take the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification exam. Surgical technologists may work in hospitals, surgery centers, labor and delivery, and specialty surgical settings.

The Associate of Applied Science degree prepares you to step into the workforce with confidence. You’ll get hands-on operating room experience, learning how to prep equipment, supplies, and meds, pass instruments, monitor counts, care for specimens, apply dressings, and operate equipment like lights, machines, and endoscopes.
Length 2 Years

This 60 credit program takes 4 terms to complete, including a pre-requisite term. Students must attend full-time.

Yes. Surgical technologists team up with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff during procedures.

You'll get to observe and help in various surgical specialties during clinical placements. These include general surgery, orthopedics, labor and delivery, and others.
Yes! After graduation, you'll eligible to take the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification exam.
