Designed for operators, supervisors, and engineers in the chemical and energy industries, this program offers four introductory courses:

In each course, you’ll get 24 hours of online content and 24 hours of work-based learning at CPET. Complete all four courses to earn a Process Safety Continuing Education Certificate.

Get Started

After you’ve found the right course, there are a number of ways to pay, including:

Credit Card

Use the registration link to select a course, create your student account, and pay directly with a credit card. After creating a San Jacinto College account during checkout, you’ll receive a unique identification number, which you can use for all future transactions.

Purchase Order or Contract

If you’re purchasing a course for an employee, follow these steps:

Provide the student’s information on the CPET Registration form for Employers.
Within 24 hours of registering for the course, submit a letter that states that the company agrees to pay tuition, outlines the preferred payment method, and includes contact information. Use this sample letter as an example.
Wait for registration confirmation from CPET and the San Jacinto College Business Office, who will arrange payment.

For customized courses, CPET will provide a contract template that outlines the payment process.

Texas Workforce Commission - Skills Development Fund

The Texas Workforce Commission’s Skills Development Fund awards grants averaging $1,800 per trainee to students who meet eligible criteria. To participate in this fund, companies must follow these steps:

Meet the eligibility requirements outlined in this Skills Development Fund Presentation.
Apply for partnership using this Private Partner Information form.
Work with CPET to secure a grant, develop a specific training program, and create a schedule. Please note that to receive a grant, companies must agree to retain participating employees for at least 90 days after training.
